Abyangam – the Ayurvedic massage – is one of the main treatments encoded in the Ayurveda: in the Ayurvedic tradition, massage is considered as a cornerstone in the maintenance, and recovery, of a state of optimal well-being.

The Ayurvedic massage works on the individual, seen as a union of body, mind, and spirit, restoring the balance between the powers presiding the psychic, energetic, physiologic, and structural levels: a lack in harmony between these powers causes the onset of illness and discomfort.
